Hannah Frering, MPH; Research Specialist and CERL Lab Manager
Hannah graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Vermont in 2015, and earned her Master of Public Health in 2018. She has enjoyed learning about the health care field through a different lens and continues to do so as a Research Specialist. Although she started in the lab as an undergraduate intern, she is now managing recruitment, participation, and administrative needs for multiple projects occurring under the direction of Dr. Robert Althoff. Her primary field of interest is the area of suicide risk assessment and detection. Since 2017, she has been working with Dr. Althoff in writing grant applications, publications and planning future projects regarding the creation and implementation of a suicide risk assessment tool named SERAS.
In her free time, she enjoys exploring restaurants and hidden attractions across the state, running, skiing and snowboarding with friends.
